INESC TEC is looking for a PhD holder to work within the Industrial and Systems Engineering / Enterprise Systems Engineering cluster.
Tasks will include: coordination and execution of R&D projects and knowledge valorization, teams management and young researchers guidance, scientific production oriented to international journals and conferences, intervention in scientific and professional communities, as well as coordination and participation in scientifc and technological dissemination initiatives.
The candidate can be nationals, foreigners and stateless persons who hold a PhD degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Systems Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related scientific area and have a scientific and professional curriculum vitae that reveals a profile that is appropriate for the activity to be developed may apply to this selection process.
The minimum requirements for the profile are a doctorate, post-doctoral experience compatible with the junior researcher category, knowledge and experience in Operations Research (OR/MS), Mathematical Modelling, Optimization, Combinatorial Optimization and Computational Programming.
Preference will be given to candidates who have: participation, possibly including positions of responsibility, in research and development projects involving work in areas such as integer linear programming, multicriteria approaches to decision support, use of heuristics in routing, location or sector problems; knowledge of multivariate statistics; knowledge of geographical information systems; sound knowledge and experience in computer programming.
