On 5 December, INESC TEC celebrates the 2nd edition of this inspiring event opening an essential space for reflection, bringing together leading voices from research and industry to examine how Europe can build the energy systems it will depend on in the future.

This year’s keynote by Professor Georges Kariniotakis sets the stage: a deep look at how innovative technologies can shape an intelligent, flexible and sustainable energy ecosystem.

Two thematic sessions will follow:
<br>
– Shaping Innovation Together – where INESC TEC’s industrial partners reflect on real cases of co-creation and collaborative innovation.
<br>
– Shaping the Grid of Tomorrow – with INESC TEC researchers showcasing emerging solutions for resilient, future-proof energy systems.
<br>
The day concludes with “Legacy & Future”, a thoughtful intervention by Professor João Peças Lopes, grounding this discussion in INESC TEC’s decades-long leadership in the energy field and the vision that will guide the next ones.

For anyone working at the intersection of energy systems, innovation, and technology policy, this is a moment to pause, reflect, and engage.
