The HUB teams
INESC Brussels HUB articulates its effort through the work of teams composed of representatives from all the INESC institutes. Their work has a multiple focus: strategy development, capacity-building, policy analysis, contributions to the development of public policy, and definition of funding priorities. They also set the goals for INESCs’ collaboration with other EU public and private research organisations, large and small industrial stakeholders, independent EU associations, networks, platforms and the European institutions.
Management Committee
The Management Committee (MC) is our highest-level body of decision. The MC brings together 5 Directors of the 5 INESCs and the Head of the INESC Brussels HUB, is chaired by José Carlos Caldeira (INESC TEC), and vice-chaired by Inês Lynce (INESC ID), for the period between 2020 and 2022.
Policy and Operations Board
The Policy and Operations Board (POB) actively participates in the design, development and definition of the strategic and operational plans and goals of the INESC Brussels Hub, as well as ensures an active voice of each organisation in the strategies and activities to be developed. It is also responsible for policy analysis and development of public positions on key transversal R&I area and organising the HUB annual event in Brussels. Thematic Work Groups
Our thematic teams are at the heart of the HUB’s activities in European programmes. They deal with characterisation and foresight studies, landscape analysis, strategy development, capacity building and networking.
The thematic teams are long-term teams that bring together experts in their respective domain and ensure that the adequate and pertinent activities defined in the multi-annual strategy are adequately implemented.
There are new thematic work groups being shaped according to the insitution’s need and strategy for the period of the triennial strategic plan.
