Open Call for Research Infrastructures in Ukraine under the RIFF Project
The RIFF project has launched an Open Call inviting existing and planned research infrastructures (RIs) in Ukraine to express their interest in being included in the country’s first national Research Infrastructure Roadmap.
The Roadmap aims to identify and prioritise research infrastructures of national importance with strong potential for international collaboration and integration within the European Research Area (ERA). Applications will undergo an eligibility check, expert evaluation and prioritisation process to identify the most capable infrastructures to be included.
Although inclusion in the Roadmap does not guarantee funding, it represents an important strategic opportunity. Once developed, the Roadmap will be promoted to international funders -including the European Commission, national governments, investment banks and foundations- helping to increase the visibility of Ukrainian research infrastructures and their chances of securing future investment.
Participation in the call also provides applicants with opportunities to engage in other RIFF activities, including training for research infrastructure managers, study visits, workshops, thematic summits, summer schools and fellowship programmes, as well as networking with European research infrastructures.

Who can apply
The call is open to Ukrainian legal entities conducting scientific or scientific and technical activities and providing research services. This includes research institutions, higher education institutions, public scientific organisations and other legal entities with scientific divisions.
Applications may be submitted by individual institutions or by consortia with a single Ukrainian lead. Research infrastructures should be of national importance and demonstrate potential for international integration.

Track 2: Future research infrastructures currently under development
