Member of the Board and President of the Executive Commission, INOV (INESC Inovação)

António Leal is a senior executive in Portugal’s innovation ecosystem and currently serves as Member of the Board and President of the Executive Commission at INOV (INESC Inovação). His work focuses on innovation management, technology transfer, and the development of applied R&D initiatives that connect research capacity with market and societal needs.

With a background in Electronics Engineering from the University of Aveiro (1987–1992), António Leal has built a long-standing career at INOV, where he has held leadership roles spanning strategic coordination, organisational development, and programme delivery. He brings extensive experience in project and product development, with a strong track record in managing multidisciplinary teams and supporting innovation-oriented partnerships.
