Diogo Duarte holds a PhD in Remote Sensing from the University of Twente (2020). He is currently enrolled in a postdoc position at INESC Coimbra, focusing on the extraction of water quality indicators from satellite imagery.
His research focus on the extraction of information from optical remote sensing images for several applications such as building damage detection, land use land cover mapping, marine litter mapping, among others. He worked on several research areas such as image classification, computer vision, photogrammetry and machine learning; always with a focus on earth observation data. He is author of several papers both in journals and conference processings (International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS).
