INESC TEC is looking for a researcher to work within the Networked Intelligent Systems / Telecommunications and Multimedia.
The researcher will participate in the research activities of the project Transformer4.0 (2020-2023), a flagship project of the MIT-Portugal program. The grant holder will be involved in a team of researchers from INESCTEC, Efacec, INEGI and MIT.
The specific activities to be developed are: participation in the coordination and implementation of R&D projects and knowledge valorization, preparation of R&D project proposals, team management and guidance of junior researchers, scientific production targeting international journals and conferences, intervention in the scientific and professional communities, and coordination and participation in scientific and technological dissemination initiatives, especially in the field Computational Learning Applied on telecommunications and multimedia, particularly in the specific area of wireless networks, communication technologies, optoelectronic technologies, multimedia and computer vision.
The minimum requirement for the profile is a Master’s degree in Information Science, Information Systems, Informatics Engineering or similar, and fluency in English.
Preference will be given to candidates who have enrolled in a doctoral program in the scientific areas of the grant or similar; have experience in participating in research projects; have least one scientific publication in a conference or journal with peer-review process.
