EIT opens second call in bid to help universities innovate
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is moving its university innovation initiative to the next phase as it launches the second call for proposals.
The EU innovation agency is calling on higher education institutions to join forces with companies, research centres, public authorities and association to design activities that would help them better support and grow innovations. The selected candidates will receive up to €1.2 million to carry out the task.

In The Black ’21
Today, marks this year’s edition of In the Black ’21 focused on “Impact Assessment for Future Exploitation of Underwater Minerals”, expected to generate renewed momentum to the Raw Materials Community in general. In addition to strengthening the connection between the In the Black community, we aim to redefine future enabling strategies.

Save the Date: Info-day for Horizon Europe Cluster 2
The European Commission has announced a new info-day for Horizon Europe Cluster 2 to be held virtually on 7 December 2021.
The info-day will present the research topics proposed under the work programme 2022 of the Horizon Europe Cluster 2 giving the opportunity to prospective applicants to learn more about the funding options under the new programme.

The Guild signs R&I manifesto for the Conference on the Future of Europe
The Guild joins 19 European R&I actors in calling for research and innovation to be placed at the core of the debates within the Conference on the Future of Europe.
The signatories of the joint Manifesto urge the Conference on the Future of Europe to discuss and deepen R&I issues over the months to come as Europeans should play an active role to make R&I the foundation for building the Europe of the future.
The Manifesto ‘Research and Innovation for the Future of Europe’ can be read here. The signatories invite organizations and individuals to join supporting the initiative.
EIC Women Leadership Programme & EIC Summit on 24-25 November 2021
The European Innovation Council (EIC) is organizing its first Summit on 24-25 November 2021. The sessions can be followed either in person at the EIC Summit venue or online. The EIC Summit is open to everyone, including EIC-funded companies: mentors, and coaches.
