Strategic Projects
INESC Brussels HUB autonomously participates in strategic European R&I projects that connect technology with public policy through programmes such as Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, tenders and others. and Digital Europe. These projects position the HUB at the intersection of research, innovation, and policymaking. Through these projects, the HUB produces evidence-based policy outputs and recommendations in strategic areas. These support EU decision-makers while fostering dialogue and engagement with key stakeholders across the European R&I ecosystem.
Project findings do not remain confined to project reports and results, they also feed directly into the HUB’s flagship events, where policymakers, researchers, industry, and other stakeholders discuss emerging challenges and future policy directions.
This creates a continuous knowledge cycle. Project evidence informs policy discussions, while event policy outputs help refine future research and recommendations. As a result, project participation strengthens the HUB’s European network, builds stakeholder capacity, increases INESC’s visibility, informs policymaking, and contributes to shaping long-term European research and innovation agendas and legislation. In essence, the HUB’s project participation directly contribute to the shaping of Europe’s R&I ecosystem.
