About INESC Brussels HUB Policy

INESC Brussels HUB is the Brussels-based EU office of the five INESC institutes (INESC Coimbra, INESC INOV, INESC ID, INESC MN and INESC TEC) and acts as their strategic bridge to the EU research and innovation ecosystem.

As a liaison office, it connects the INESC institutes with EU policymakers and research and innovation stakeholders, including other leading research and technology organisations, universities, companies and industry.

It aims to position INESC strategically at EU level, building thought leadership capacity in critical technology areas and establishing the institutes as a vital partner for key research projects across academia and industry.

Policy reports & analysis

This section brings together the HUB's working documents, studies and reports that explain and inform EU research and innovation policy developments relevant to INESC's interests.

It includes policy briefs and analyses on specific policy developments; monitoring and tracking notes on live legislative files and procedures; and research-based studies or reports tied to a specific research domain or critical technology that can be linked to a research project or activity of the HUB or the INESC institutes. The section also features explainers and background papers on specific research topics, contributing to scientific discussion within the INESC community and among external EU research and innovation stakeholders.

Each year, the HUB also produces two signature policy reports analysing the policy outputs of its flagship events the winter and summer INESC Brussels HUB meetings.
